Meta Pixel Event Studio ("the extension") is a Chrome extension that helps you check, set up and improve the Meta Pixel events on websites you work on. This policy explains what the extension does with information.

Summary

The extension works entirely inside your browser. It has no servers, no accounts and no analytics. It does not send any data to us or to anyone else.

What the extension reads

When the side panel is used on a website, the extension reads the pixel events that the page itself sends to Meta, such as the event name, the event parameters and the pixel ID. It also notes whether the browser and click cookies used by the pixel exist on the page. In the Build tab, it reads the element you pick on the page and the text of any element you choose as a value source.

What the extension stores

• Captured events are stored in your browser's local extension storage for up to 3 days. An hourly cleanup and a cleanup at browser startup delete older events automatically.
• Customer details that a page sends with an event, such as an email or phone number, are never stored. Only the field name and whether it was hashed are kept.
• Email addresses and phone numbers that appear in event parameters are replaced with a placeholder before storage. Page addresses are stored without their query string.
• Your settings and the setups you save in the Build tab are stored locally until you remove them.

What the extension shares

Nothing. The extension makes no network requests of its own and does not sell, transfer or share any information.

Your choices

You can clear the history of one site or of all sites at any time from the panel. Removing the extension deletes everything it stored. Notifications are off unless you turn them on.

This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. It stores one value in your browser to remember that you closed the cookie notice.
